Smiley Bags

Care House created the Smiley Bag Program after teachers expressed concern about students who may not have enough food at home after school or on weekends. Each Smiley Bag is filled with easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly food, including granola bars, Vienna sausages, cookies, chips, juice boxes, ramen, mac & cheese, oatmeal cups, and small treats. Care House provides these bags to teachers, who then discreetly distribute them to students who need extra support. This program helps ensure that children have reliable access to food outside of school, allowing them to stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. The items will ship automatically to CareCrewSD, where teen volunteers will assemble the Smiley Bags and deliver them to CareHouse for distribution.
